Today Carson and I spent the morning learning how to use the camera and link the mic to the camera. After we figured out how to use everything with Mr. Silverman we hooked up with Twin Smokers BBQ on the phone however they had to cancel on us so we were unable to film them. We went down to Anne's Snack Shack to set up an interview and film session for tomorrow and along the way we visited Wyatt's BBQ and Grand Champion BBQ in Krog Street Market. The owner of Anne's Snack Shack is excited for us to come and film and so is the manager of Grand Champion BBQ because they both see the potential customer base we could bring them. Along with setting up film times we did some extemporaneous filming to add into the episodes to show the location around the restaurants.

March 30, 2015

Today Carson and I spent most of our time preparing for the next four weeks of senior project mayhem. We finalized the four restaurants we will be creating webisodes on by visiting a few of them and setting up interviews/times to film. We went to Mary Mac's Tea Room off of Ponce de Leon for lunch where we decided the atmosphere, location and food would be perfect for one of our four restaurants. We also got numerous recommendations for Anne's Snack Shack so we added that to the list after some research. Twin Smokers BBQ is a small location in Atlanta we found would be interesting so we set up an interview and time to film tomorrow. We also added Gunshow, a higher end restaurant, to have one finer dining location. We also had our hands full with gathering all the equipment we will need for the next four weeks. This includes a camcorder, microphone, cables, shoe attachment, SD card, hard drive and tripod. We rented this equipment from aperturent.com and picked it up from their location off of Roswell Road.
