  • 8:00 A.M. – Carson and I met to finish editing the Jeni’s Ice cream video. 
  • 10:00 A.M. – Revised the Jeni's intro (each episode has an intro specific to the store)
  • 11:00 A.M. – Cosmetic editing, changing the audio level in small amounts at specific parts in the video
  • 12:00 P.M. – Ate lunch and finished up the intro the the show
  • 1:00 P.M. – Went back on our SD card and found better outside footage of Jeni's
  • 2:00 P.M. – Added those clips in
  • 3:00 P.M. – Blogged.

  • 8:00 A.M. – Carson and I met to start editing the Jeni’s Ice cream video. 
  • 10:00 A.M. – After organizing some of the clips we detached the audio to move it around to other clips. 
  • 11:00 A.M. – More basic editing, clip trimming, audio moving, organization, and sound quality. 
  • 12:00 P.M. – Left to go to the camera store to return our camera. 
  • 1:00 P.M. – Got back and continued editing. 
  • 2:00 P.M. – Worked on background music, and sound levels. 
  • 3:00 P.M. – Blogged.

April 16, 2015 (7 hours logged: 6 hours left)
  • 8:00 A.M. – Murphy and I met to complete the second half of editing of our Grand Champion BBQ video.
  • 9:00 A.M. – We worked a lot more with audio today, because there are options to eliminate background noise and things like that, so we played around with imovie to find the best sounding audio.
  • 10:00 A.M. – Basic editing, moving clips, and organizing for optimal entertainment.
  • 12:00 P.M. – We were pretty bummed about losing the footage of the environment of little 5 points so we went back down to little 5 to get more footage.
  • 1:00 P.M. – Downloaded and backed up that footage.
  • 1:30 P.M. – Trimmed and edited that footage, and finished the intro to all of the films.
  • 3:00 P.M. – Blogged.

April 15, 2015 (7 hours logged: 13 hours left)
  • 8:00 A.M. – Met and started editing our second video. 
  • 10:00 A.M. – Worked with the sound in the video because we wanted to add music in the background of this video but we needed to find the right medium between the voice and music. 
  • 11:00 A.M. – Broke one 5 minute clip into several different parts and spread them out through the video so it wasn’t so boring. 
  • 12:00 P.M. – Detached audio from the interview to put in a shot of krog street and Grand Champion BBQ. 
  • 1:00 P.M. – Some people that had free period came over and previewed our first video and what we have of the second, to give us tips and changes that would be optimal for the viewer. 
  • 2:00 P.M – Made those changes. 
  • 3:00 P.M. – Blogged. 

April 14, 2015 (8 hours logged: 20 hours left)
  • 8:00 A.M. – Met to continue editing the Ann’s Snack Bar video.
  • 9:00 A.M. – Ran into complications importing videos into imovie, got the spinning wheel for a while
  • 11:00 A.M. – Our biggest complication of the day, one clip that was 10 minutes long wouldn’t load. Had to figure out another way to get it into I Movie.
  • 12:00 P.M. – At lunch and figured out how we were going to import that movie.
  • 1:00 P.M. – Went to Mr. Silverman’s office. Got the video imported on his desktop. Trimmed it and did what we needed to do. Also discussed coming in tomorrow to record on his digital recorder.
  • 2:00 P.M. – Continued editing, got the clip we trimmed with Mr. Silverman and imported it onto our computer.
  • 2:30 P.M. – Added transitions between each video, made space for a voice over.
  • 3:00 P.M. – 3:30P.M. – Compiled more footage for our intro for every video.
  • 3:30 P.M. – 4:00 P.M. – Blogged. 

April 13, 2015 (7 hours logged: 28 hours left)
  • 8:00 A.M. – Met Murphy to plan out the day, figure out how much editing we could get done, and what exactly the video is going to look like. 
  • 9:00 A.M. – Began editing, categorized the videos, and put them in order. 
  • 11:00 A.M. – Took a break from editing to do some more filming, we needed a classic intro for the video, so we filmed it while it was sunny outside. 
  • 12:30 P.M. – Got back to editing, ran into some speed bumps, trying to get the sound right, along with the length of each clip. 
  • 2:00 P.M. – Finished what we could do today, got almost half the video done, still trying to work out the kinks in our video editing skills. 
  • 3:00 P.M. – blogged.

  • 8:30 A.M - Left for Savage Pizza
  • 9:00 A.M - Interviewed the manager
  • 10:00 A.M -Toured the restaurant with explanations of some artwork
  • 10:30 A.M - Filmed the cooks making the pizza
  • 11:30 A.M - Ate the food
  • 12:30 P.M - Rated the food, did intros and outros to the restaurant
  • 1:00 P.M - Went home to download the footage onto computer and hard drive and sorted through the usable and unusable clips
  • 2:00 P.M - Extended rental date for microphone
  • 2:30 P.M - Blogged
April 9, 2015 (7 hours logged: 7 hours left)
  • 9:00 A.M - Called Little Bangkok to confirm interview appointment
  • 9:30 A.M - Left for Little Bangkok on Cheshire Bridge Road
  • 10:00 A.M - Arrived at Little Bangkok and began exterior filming along with intro's to the restaurant
  • 11:00 A.M - Met with the manager of Little Bangkok to discuss the interview and interior filming, realized we had a miscommunication and were not allowed to film inside
  • 11:30 A.M - Scratched the idea but sat down and ate there to discuss our next move
  • 12:30 P.M - After an hour of idea shuffling and calling other local restaurants, we got hold of Jeni's Ice Cream and they said we could film so we left for Jeni's. 
  • 1:00 P.M - Arrived at Jeni's and began filming the exterior/doing intros to the restaurant
  • 2:00 P.M - Interviewed staff members, did the taste test, got footage of the inside and the ice cream/cone making process
  • 3:00 P.M - Returned home to download the footage onto the computer and hard drive, sort through the clips and delete the Little Bangkok footage
  • 3:30 P.M - Blogged

April 8, 2015 (7 hours logged: 14 hours left)
  • 8:00 A.M - Carson and I met to download yesterday's footage onto computer and hard drive
  • 8:30 A.M - Sorted and organized video and sound into separate folders from each shoot
  • 9:00 A.M - Researched ethnic restaurants to film and interview tomorrow
  • 9:30 A.M - Called multiple restaurants and got many rejections but finally landed one
  • 10:00 A.M - Left for Savage Pizza in Little 5 Points
  • 10:30 A.M - Filmed the exterior of the restaurant and area surrounding. Compiled footage outside because Friday is supposed to be rainy 
  • 11:30 A.M - Got an explanation of some of the meals, set up interview and film shoot for Friday
  • 12:00 P.M - Business lunch to further discuss the project
  • 1:00 P.M - Went home to download the footage onto computer and hard drive and sorted through the usable and unusable clips
  • 2:00 P.M - Compiled questions to ask Little Bangkok tomorrow

April 7, 2015 (7 hours logged: 21 Hours Left)

  • 8:00 A.M - Carson and I met to call Mary Mac's Tea Room to confirm the film shoot.
  • 8:30 A.M - Downloaded previous days footage onto computer and hard drive
  • 9:00 A.M - Left for Mary Mac's Tea Room on Ponce de Leon Ave.
  • 9:30 A.M - Filmed the area around Mary Mac's and the exterior of the building
  • 10:30 A.M - Filmed the intro to the restaurant using our research right in front of the sign
  • 11:00 A.M - Filmed the interior of the restaurant. 
  • 11:30 A.M - Filmed the menu and ordering food. Got an explanation of some of the meals
  • 12:00 P.M - Carson filmed me eating and reviewing the food
  • 1:00 P.M - Interviewed 2 employees who have both worked there for more than 20 years each to learn about the history and their experiences at Mary Mac's 
  • 2:00 P.M - Went home and researched possibilities for our next venue and set up film shoots for tomorrow.

April 2, 2015 (7 hours logged: 0 Hours Left)
  • 8:00 A.M. – Carson and I met and planned out the day.
  • 9:00 A.M. – We wrote a script for Grand Champion BBQ interview
  • 9:30 A.M. – Left for Krog Street Market
  • 10:00 A.M. – We did the intro to Krog street, along with some filming of the environment of Krog Street
  • 11:00 A.M. – We started our filming of Grand Champion BBQ, went into the back, and filmed the smoker, freezer, and the creation of their meat.
  • 12:00 P.M. – Sat down to eat the sandwich
  • 12:30 P.M.  – Filmed an interview with the manager and head chef Anthony Galletta.
  • 1:00 P.M. – Did our last filming of Grand Champ and the inside of Krog Street Market.
  • 1:30 P.M. – Did our exit filming of Grand Champ BBQ and Krog street, along with some more filming of the surround neighborhood.
  • 2:30 – 3:00 P.M. – Blogged

April 1, 2015 (7 Hours Logged: 6.5 Left)
  • 8:00 A.M. – Murphy and I met and downloaded video converting software for the camera and attempted to learn how to use it.
  • 8:30 A.M. – Wrote a script for the interview and pre planned what we were going to video today.
  • 9:00 A.M. – Edited some of the footage from yesterday. Basically sorted through and deleted the useless videos.
  • 9:30 A.M. – Drove to south Atlanta to get some footage of the surrounding environment of Ann’s Snack Bar.
  • 10:30 A.M. – Did our intro to the episode in front of Ann’s
  • 11:00 A.M. – Met with the manager (brother of Ann) to begin filming our interview.
  • 11:30 A.M. – Did our interview with the manager
  • 12:00 P.M. – Ordered the food, took footage of the kitchen and customers of the restaurant.
  • 1:00 P.M. – Sat down to eat and film the eating. Took footage of the delivery of the food, eating the food, then a couple remarks on how delicious it was.
  • 2:00 P.M. – Did our exit of the video
  • 3:00 – 3:30 P.M. – blogged. 

March 31, 2015 (7.5 Hours Logged: 13.5 Left)
  • 8:00 A.M. – Carson and I met and went to Lovett to meet with our advisor Mr. Silverman.
  • 8:30 A.M. – Met with Mr. Silverman and worked out all of the kinks with the camera.
  • 9:30 A.M. – talked to the manager of twin smokers to set up an interview. With Twin Smokers being a well run business the have a tight schedule, so we are trying to find the best time to meet if we even can.
  • 11:00 A.M. – Went to Anne’s Snack Bar and met with the manager to set up the interview for 11 A.M. tomorrow.
  • 12:00 P.M. – We did extra filming of the outside and environment of Anne’s Snack Bar.
  • 1:00 P.M. – Visited Wyatt’s Country Bar-B-Que as a possible site for an interview.
  • 1:30 P.M. – Created a social media pages i.e. Instagram, and took photographs to display the research aspect of choosing the right restaurants for our interviews.
  • 2:00 P.M. – Murphy and I drove to Krog Street Market, decided we would set up an interview with Grand Champion BBQ. Talked to the manger/owner and set up an interview for 11 o’clock on Thursday.
  • 2:30 P.M. – Did extra filming of Krog Street Market. 
  • 3:00 – 3:30 P.M. – blogged.

March 30, 2015 (7 Hours Logged: 21 Left)
  • 9:00 A.M - Researched videography equipment, finding the best deal for the best equipment we could find for rental. Found a great deal on aperturent.com
  • 10:00 A.M. - Researched local Atlanta restaurants for a possible review sites
  • 11:00 A.M. - Went to Lovett to meet with Mr. Silverman about the correct videography equipment, placed an order for the equipment, and discussed the revisions we have made on our project to keep everybody on the same page.
  • 12:00 P.M. - We went to “Mary Mac’s Tea Room”, to taste test for a possible location for an interview. And spoke with the manager of Mary Mac’s to possibly set up an interview. Got the Director of Operation’s business card to set up the official interview.
  • 1:30 P.M. - Called Twin Smokers BBQ and Anne’s Snack Bar to set up an interview.
  • 2:30 P.M. - Went to Aperturent Camera Rental to pick up the camera equipment, and to discuss logistics on insurance, dates of use, and usage of camera.
